Dr. Ken Blank received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Long Island University / C.W. Post campus in 1997. He completed his internship at South Oaks hospital in Amityville N.Y. in 1996. Dr. Blank has provided psychological services in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, residential treatment centers for children, and adult senior care facilities. He served as a staff psychologist for St. Mary’s Children and Family Services, United Cerebral Palsy and as a consulting psychologist for senior care and rehabilitation/nursing facilities. Dr. Blank joined Western Suffolk Psychological Services as an intern in 1993. He joined the practice in 2001 as a full time psychologist. He currently provides services for children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Blank has experience treating anxiety and mood disorders with specialized training and practice in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders. He has presented lectures and conducted workshops on OCD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, group psychotherapy and issues regarding aging and anger. Dr. Blank has trained doctoral candidates and interns in providing individual and group therapy and psychological testing. He has served as an adjunct professor and supervisor for the psychology doctoral program at Long Island University.
