Dr. Segal received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University in 2002. She completed her internship at St. Mary’s Children and Family Services. She is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist specializing in the treatment of adults, adolescents, and children suffering from anxiety disorders. Areas of expertise include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), including Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling) and Excoriation (Skin Picking); Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Phobias, and Panic Disorder.  Exposure and Response Prevention (E&RP), Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT), and Mindfulness are utilized as treatment methods.

Dr. Segal has presented lectures and conducted workshops on OCD, hair pulling and skin picking.
